Attract the Right People |
|
Would you like to tell over 1,900 holistically minded people about your service, product or event?
The Spirit of Transformation newsletter goes out to well over 1,900 people in the UK and abroad who enjoy learning more about wellbeing. They represent a huge number of people personally known to me who have a similar interest in personal growth, from spirituality to nutrition, and take a self-empowered approach to their life and health. Many of them work in the holistic and healthcare sector. They also include journalists from the holistic press, publishers and holistic event promoters. Statistically most people need to see you three to five times before they'll contact you, if you're selling a workshop place, product or service. Each time they see your ad or someone mentions you, it's like a little nudge and, after enough nudges, they may pick up the phone.
Advertising Rates
I only take ads that appeal to self-aware readers to ensure it's the right market, and I know repetition works. That's why, if you want a one-off ad it's currently £60, but if you book and pay for a series to
be placed any time within the following six months, all subsequent ads
are half price. So a one-off ad is £60, two ads are £90, three ads are
£120 and four ads are £150.
Frequency There
are two issues a month to choose from, at the beginning and the middle
of each month. If you book a series it's best to appear in one issue per month for optimum results.

Would you give a stranger your number?
Probably not - most of us wouldn't. Business is no different - it's about building trust and familiarity. Whatever you're offering, your potential customers need time to get to know you. Appearing in an opt-in enewsletter which attracts the market you want is like having a personal, trusted introduction.
It's not always about how many people are on the mailing list either - how many actually get delivered and opened are important factors too. Spirit of Transformation has open rates way above the industry average.
A one-off ad isn't enough to build a relationship. In an enewsletter you may be luckier because it's already in a trusted source and readers may have heard of you before, so it could be the nudge they need. However, you might use at least part of your ad to generate leads for the future. It's like getting business cards at a networking event or swapping details at a workshop.
For people to part with their contact details you need to offer something they value as well as something representative of your service. It gives them a taster so they can decide if they'd like more. It could be your top tips, a relaxation technique, a way to resolve conflict or your best hayfever remedy. Whatever it is, make sure it's something helpful that they will value. |
