These were the first twelve flowers that he found, each corresponding to a particular planetary energy. How Do I Choose A Planetary Essence?

If you're familiar with your birth chart and you know which planets are affecting you at the moment, that might be a useful guide. Alternatively, read the descriptions to decide which best fits the challenges you want to grow through at the moment - or ask your higher guidance. You can take any of these essences - they don't have to be your sun sign. The Saturn blend can be very useful during your Saturn return for example and the Cancer blend is very useful on a full moon.
