There will never be another you - at a soul level you chose to be here in the time of the great reckoning. More on the significance of that below, at the shamanic wisdom summit.
It's easy to get sucked into everyday concerns and forget this bigger picture, which is why it's essential to have a regular practice that puts you in touch with your higher self, whether that's yoga, a walk in nature, meditation or washing up in slow motion:)
Inside you is a unique expression of the divine. It may be joyous, quirky, intense, inventive, profound, adventurous, funny, sad, loud or still. Whatever it is, embrace that essence and be brave in expressing your originality.
This is a time for finding each other and gaining strength in community - and we can only do that if we drop the veils of conditioned behaviour and show up to be seen as our authentic selves.

From Downhearted to Optimistic - Bach to Basics |
|
Do you over-think things until you lose confidence and clarity? Do you find it hard to believe in 'happy ever after'?
Does life seem unfair or are you feeling gloomy for no apparent reason?
If any of these apply, here are some remedy suggestions to perk up your spirits:
Gentian - is the remedy to reach for if you're easily discouraged. You may be the person in a group who can always see the potential pitfalls and can't trust that things will work out.
You may find it difficult to accept that conflict and setbacks are necessary to help you strengthen and grow - instead you see them as reasons to give up or to believe that something you wanted isn't 'meant to be'.
This state can result from a childhood where caregivers focused more on the mistakes you made rather than encouraging you to see them as part of your learning and supporting you in persevering towards your goal.
This is a very good remedy choice when life deals you a difficult situation such as bereavement, redundancy, loss of independence, illness or separation. These are times when you need to be able to trust in your higher self and the divine plan, yet the Gentian state arises when we do the opposite - when we turn away from our inner guidance and instead try to work things out with our intellect.
The more we ponder and mull it over, the more doubtful we become, the more we lose confidence and the further we slip into depression. When we need Gentian we may want to believe in a positive outcome but we can't help expecting the opposite. We're unable to see that it's actually our state of mind and our expectations that are creating the very outcome we fear.
As you take Gentian you'll become willing to give relationships, dreams or projects that you'd given up on, another try. You'll open up to the possibility of a happier result and be able to see a silver lining and a higher purpose to any difficulties. You'll wonder what you can learn from them - seeing them as lessons rather than blocks. Your confidence will increase as you greet life in a far more cheerful frame of mind.
Mustard - is the essence to turn to when gloom descends out of nowhere. You may feel as if your personal black cloud has arrived bringing a heaviness and lethargy that make it hard to move. You suddenly lose motivation to do anything and feel tearful for no reason.
You may feel at the mercy of your feelings and unable to 'pull yourself together' because the sense of deep melancholy is all-consuming. You can't hide your feelings and you feel cut off from everyday life by your sense of mourning.
This state affects us when we're processing universal grief. It often occurs when there's a global conflict or tragedy that triggers loss and sorrow in so many people that we get caught up in the fallout - we become emotional sponges helping to process emotions on behalf of all those who are unable to express or handle such deep sadness.
It can also be a common experience just before you take a major step forward in your own growth. Artists, composers, poets and writers are aware that this state can be a source of immense creativity because they've learned that such feelings need expression and translation into music, art, dance, sculpture and song. This is how we process darkness in a positive way that touches all of us and opens our hearts.
As you take Mustard, light will gradually filter through into the gloom and you'll finally feel able to draw back the curtains and step once more back into the light of a new day - ready to take part in life again with confidence and serenity.
Willow - we all have Willow days when we get out of bed the wrong side. Nothing seems to work out and the world's out to get you. No matter how much other people try to help you, moaning Minnie has taken up residence and can only point out the negative.
Hopefully such days are blips but sometimes they solidify into a consistently negative way of seeing life and you become eaten up with bitterness at how life, or somebody in it, is treating you. Eventually others give up trying to help and you withdraw into a state of smouldering resentment at the cards you've been dealt.
What provokes this state is seeing ourselves as victims of circumstance, powerless to change things, but once we take Willow we become aware of the role we play in creating our life. We're able to take responsibility for our reality and change our inner state and expectations so that we attract happier circumstances.
Instead of standing with our arms crossed giving the universe two out ten for its for poor performance we remember that we're players in the game of life and we need to actively engage if we want to use our power to enjoy the journey.
