As you probably know, our soul's evolution travels in a spiral which means that we keep meeting a similar set of circumstances until we've fully digested the lesson. The important thing to remember, as you think: 'oh no, here we go again, same situation, different cast of characters' is that you yourself have changed since you first met this challenge, so new options are open to you this time around if you can see it through fresh eyes.
And, one way to gain fresh eyes is to release our body from patterns of movement that reflect our repetitive thoughts. Bach to Basics - From Not Good Enough to Deserving & Valued |
|
Do you easily feel guilty? Do you often criticise yourself, your work or how you look? Do you feel you aren't up to all the responsibilities you've taken on? Are you exhausted by having to 'deal with it all'? Do you regularly make sacrifices and sabotage yourself? Do you give love generously but find it hard to receive?
One of the most important life lessons is that of self-acceptance and self-love. Being around someone who's happy in their own skin, who meets their own needs, who understands their own value and who's comfortable with their decisions and achievements can be a real education. If those lessons are on your curriculum then start by taking the Bach remedy Pine, either on its own or in a Bach remedy blend.
Pine is indicated when you apologise for things that aren't your fault or under your control - maybe even saying sorry for being upset, 'emotional' or sick.
If you feel guilty for charging for your work or sending back food in a restaurant or making a legitimate complaint or simply receiving your share, Pine is your friend.
We need Pine when we feel 'not good enough'. Nothing we do is quite perfect. Our focus is always on the 20% we could improve upon, rather than the 80% we did well. We may unconsciously put ourselves in situations that punish us, such as a belittling partner, a slave-driving boss, a love that's never returned or a life that requires constant sacrifice. We'll feel guilty if others are worse off than ourselves and will tend to go into sacrifice and suffer with them rather than understand that we can show compassion without needing to rescue others from their own soul lessons. We'll offer love to others but find it impossible to receive it in return. The Pine state is hard for those who love you to be around because no matter how they try to show their love you don't feel deserving of it. Instead the martyr tendency will attract victims who want you to take responsibility for them and rescue them.
A Pine state can begin even before birth if we're unwanted, or our conception or birth leads to our mother being ill or being rejected by her family or our existence in some way causes conflict. Without being aware of it, we feel we need to apologise for being here. With no wholehearted welcome into the world we can feel we have to justify our existence by taking on the problems of others - even when they're not our responsibility.
The healing path of Pine is to understand when guilt is an appropriate nudge that we're ignoring our inner guidance and straying from our soul path and when it stems from unhealthy shame and guilt that isn't ours to carry.
As you take Pine you step down from the cross, renounce perfectionism, stop being your own judge and jury and begin to realise you deserve love and joy in your life. Instead of pushing validation, abundance and affection away, you open up to receive appreciation and you're able to assert your needs and opinions, which allows you to reclaim your self-respect.
