We've all heard the expression 'as above, so below' but I'm also a fan of 'as without, so within'. Our living and working space reflects so much of who we are.
Often when I've made a major personal shift my electrical appliances, including my car, suddenly need replacing and upgrading. We're in relationship with everything that we use and look at on a daily basis.
The video below by Feng Shui expert Gina Lazenby gave me loads of ideas on how to make my space more supportive of my goals and emotional and physical health. Definitely worth sitting down with a cup of tea and a notepad.

From Self-Critical to Self-Compassionate - Bach to Basics |
|
Is your inner critic rather chatty lately?
We're living in an increasingly polarised society that creates black and white thinking which weakens our ability to step back and see what's really going on. It also deflects our attention from those who like to divide and rule.
Nowhere is that conflict more obvious than within ourselves. If you need a dose of tolerance and acceptance of yourself and others, here are some remedy suggestions below:
Beech - is the remedy for judgement. It may be be silent, where we say everything's fine when actually we see much that we'd like to change but don't want to voice it, rock the boat or alienate others. We may miss the chance to give valuable feedback because of the need to be liked or avoid conflict, or we may voice our disapproval in a way that makes it difficult to receive without taking offence.
Often we judge others because we have ourselves been judged and felt ourselves wanting. We feel less insecure when we can judge others as worse than ourselves or claim the moral high ground. Were we to have full knowledge of their situation we may be able to understand their position and be far more tolerant. This is also true of ourselves - when we judge others, we usually judge ourselves even more harshly.
This is also an important remedy if you notice that you're touchy about being criticised and you always focus on the flaws in any situation or relationship without seeing the potential for positive change.
As you take Beech you're flooded with empathy and compassion - for yourself and others. Your rigidity and demanding values soften and you're able to see that there are many different paths of learning and we're all at different points. You can stop beating yourself up and accept yourself and others - flaws and all.
Impatiens - 'Never mind - it will be quicker if I do it myself'. If you find yourself saying this often then you may need this remedy.
Impatiens is useful if you're mentally agile and tend to react quickly, whether that's physically turning pale or going red or tapping your fingers, or emotionally by expressing your feelings in annoyance. You may also live your life at speed, as there's a sense of not having enough time.
Instead of allowing situations to play out you may leap in and try to move things along, finishing someone's sentences or taking short cuts. Other people's perceived slowness can drive you crazy, so you often prefer to do things alone. You can be seen as a slave-driver but you drive yourself harder than anyone.
This remedy brings the qualities of patience and gentleness. It helps you see that everything has a natural cycle, that there are other ways of doing things which may appear slower but which you can nonetheless learn from. It helps you be kinder to yourself and others.
As you relax into the journey instead of focusing on the outcomes you become aware of the interconnectedness of all things and can open up to support and learning.
Crab Apple - are you unable to see the wood for the trees? If you've lost sight of the bigger picture because you're focusing on perfecting details and perceived flaws, then this is a great remedy.
Many of us in times of uncertainty need this remedy. When we feel out of control and require a immaculately tidy desk before we can start work or we need to clean everywhere for fear of infection, Crab Apple can help us to regain balance.

Bach Remedy Charts with Karmic Essences
I had a lot of enquiries about the second-hand laminated Bach Remedy wall charts in an A2 size that I gave away in the last issue.
Produced by Crystal Herbs, they show all 38 remedies in the 7 groups with each remedy's key words, such as 'indecisive' or 'angry' and at the centre is the karmic essence that relates to each group.
The chart is an easy way of showing Bach remedies to clients or using them for reference for yourself or in a consultation. They make a nice backdrop to a zoom call:)

From Self-Judgement to Self-Acceptance - Reader Offers |
One of the principal reasons we feel depressed, angry or isolated is judgement. Whenever we judge ourselves or anyone else as lacking in some way, we create separation. Judgement separates us from our own divine essence and prevents us from seeing the beauty in ourselves and others.
