It's so important that we express our soul music, yet often our gifts come wrapped in layers of difficult feelings that create obstacles to that expression. Are you aware of deep anger, isolation, fear or self-judgement? Sometimes we carry reservoirs of these intense emotions into this lifetime, often on behalf of ancestors who didn't express them, and they feed and trigger us until we can focus and heal them.

From Restless & Scattered to Fulfilled & Focused

Do you find it hard to commit? Are you easily bored? Are you constantly searching for the 'right' work role or relationships? Do you have so many irons in the fire that nothing gets accomplished?
Some of us have a strong sense of soul work that we're here to do or relationships that we're destined to have. When our job or relationships don't seem to fulfil those expectations we may unconsciously sabotage the situation, move on or start other projects that look more promising. As we spread our energies too thin, we finish up tired, frustrated and disheartened.
This feeling that there's something or someone more interesting beyond the horizon means that, even though we might show up and go through the motions, inwardly we don't fully commit to a particular group of friends or goal in life.
Most importantly we can also end up in situations and company that don't reflect our true potential, which disperses without direction, like seeds on the breeze. If you have this pattern you may notice that you dive about in conversation from one subject to another, you always sit close to the exit and you're often unconventional in your ideas.
 The Bach remedy for this state is called Wild Oat - as we sow, so shall we reap. If you flit like a butterfly from flower to flower you don't create depth in your life. It's hard to grow past a certain point if you keep stopping when you meet your own resistance.
This is also a common remedy choice after redundancy, divorce or a mid life crisis. We may have been guided for years by a particular motivation such as unconsciously needing approval from our partner, parents or social group or we may have made choices based on needing to support and nurture our family. When those needs are no longer there or no longer a priority, a restless space can arise where you need to discover fresh motivation and give yourself permission to develop your gifts.

Would you like to connect to your ancestral wisdom? Fully initiated healer and shaman in the South African Xhosa lineage, John Lockley will be leading a one day ceremony focusing on helping you connect to your natural wisdom, your Ubuntu (humanity).
He facilitates in a traditional South African way using drumming, singing and storytelling to activate hearts and awaken spirits.
You'll sit in a circle around a traditional African shamanic earth altar to connect with your ancestors, the root of your being.
To connect to the larger circle, we're called to listen deeply and awaken our bones and blood. Participants will be taught an ancestral healing practice. It starts with our hearts, our inner pulse and continues into our dreams.
The workshop will involve a mix of stillness, movement, and a discussion on ancestors and dreams. Stillness will involve heart-beat meditation where participants will be guided to connect with their pulse, their life force. Movement is trance dance or xhentsa, also known as shaking medicine. It's simple and easy and doesn't require a high level of fitness or stamina.
The dancing and meditation will facilitate deeper relaxation, dream recall and ancestral connection.
