Put Your Sorting Hat On
As we move into Virgo the energy is about letting go, clearing out, health and practical organisation.
I've just sorted hundreds of essences, putting the ones I'm keeping into new, freshly labelled boxes.
On a personal level I've finished clearing my house which I started 18 months ago and, when I handed over my childhood coin collection as a final gesture, I reflected how difficult it is to imagine a new future if you're surrounded by the past.
One reason it's hard to let go of stuff is because of the emotions it stirs up. It can be an uncomfortable reality check to ask yourself if you'll ever use those ice skates again, fit into those jeans, use that camping stove or mend that bike.
Clearing asks us to review if something still fits us vibrationally as well as physically. Maybe we've moved on but a friendship hasn't. Maybe we need to recognise that a cherished dream is no longer relevant - even if we've spent years working towards it.
Some grieving and regret is inevitable but know your time wasn't wasted because the point was what you gained from the journey, not the destination.
Clearing requires us to face our feelings including our fears and it can be a courageous act of growth. Whether you're experiencing resistance or dealing with grief at the life you didn't have, or the future vision that no longer seems possible, know this means you're in a process of letting go that's essential if you're to move forward.
Essences are fantastic for supporting emotional processing, and so is targeted physical movement to help you release where the body is holding the feeling. As your emotions change, you sound a new note and attract different circumstances.
We're the architects of our lives and if we want things to change we have to start with our feelings.

From Numbness to Awakening - Bach to Basics |
|
Star of Bethlehem - are you in need of comfort but feel unable to receive it? Are your senses dulled and numb? Do you feel emotionally overwhelmed?
Life's full of shocks, big and small, which leave imprints on our nervous system.
If we're able to process them all is well but if we can't, because we're too young or unaware or the support we need isn't there, or even because the trauma is inherited from our ancestral line, then it can build up like layers of chain mail and armour.
Our muscles and fascia may tense and guard with the memory of what happened causing restriction in our movement or function such as arthritis or hearing problems or poor eyesight.
We may develop habits to avoid these memories being triggered which restrict our lives. We may be unable to fully develop our potential because we don't want to experience an unprocessed memory so we withdraw from the limelight when we actually have something valuable to share or we may reject love, even though we yearn for it.
Star of Bethlehem is a wonderful remedy if you've numbed chronic pain with drugs or other substances or have recently had surgery or anaesthetic. If you're easily bruised emotionally or physically, have difficulty swallowing, recurring nightmares or painful menstruation or you know your birth was traumatic, this is also one to reach for. It's a marvellous remedy for rescue animals too.
Star of Bethlehem is one of the only Bach remedies that reaches into past life cell memory so it can be a great choice if you notice you have fears and phobias that can't be explained by current life experiences.
