What's the difference between a personal message and personal guidance?

When I attune for a personal message it can come from anywhere in the world .-sometimes things I've never heard of. It's a single flower, crystal, sea creature, bird etc and it comes with an affirmation to help embed the energy. It's also only available as a transmission.
