Children respond very quickly to essences and for this reason
care needs to be taken when prescribing essences particularly
for babies and very young children. Here are some general
guidelines and suggestions.
0 - 7 years:-
For this age range we recommend that you only use Crystal
Herbs Bach Flower Remedies. A well-chosen combination of not
more than 4 or 5 remedies will very quickly help to bring
children back into balance. Most children enjoy taking their
drops directly onto their tongues, however you could also
add them to their drinks if necessary. 4 drops 4 x a day is
normally enough at this age. For babies the remedies can be
added to the bath water or dabbed on the pulse points on the
body.
To decide which remedies would most help your child, observe
how he or she reacts to the situations around them. You will
see that, like adults, each child in a family reacts differently
to the same circumstances. For instance one might react with
fear while another reacts with anger and yet another might
become clingy. By choosing the remedies that will help to
balance the states that you observe, you'll greatly help your
child to cope with life and its inevitable ups and downs.
A few Bach flower suggestions to get started:- Revival Remedy - always handy for bumps, bruises accidents
and shocks. Also helpful for night terrors along with Aspen
and Mimulus.
Agrimony,
Larch and
Mimulus
for the generally fearful and timid child. Vervain
helpful for the hyperactive state. Holly,
WalnutandVine for
temper tantrums. Chicory,
Willowand Holly
For sibling rivalry. Clematis
helpful for the dreamy inattentive child. Revival Remedy cream always useful for children and adults
alike.
8-12 years:-
Bach Flower Remedies are also very effective with this age
group, however we suggest that you increase the frequency
of the dosage to 4 drops 6 x a day. You could also introduce
some of our individual flower and crystal essences at this
age. Start with one at a time, 4 drops 2 x a day. This will
probably be enough for most children. Towards the top of this
age range you could mix up to 3 individual essences into a
combination maximum dosage 4 drops 3 x a day.
Suggestions for individual flower and crystal essences:- Pansy
This remedy is
particularly beneficial for children who are susceptible to
colds, sore throats and infections of all kinds.
Celandine
Helpful for those who have difficulty assimilating information.
Harebell
Helpful for the very shy. Petunia Helpful for impish and hyperactive children Nettle
Helps children with the stress and trauma related to family
problems like divorce or adoption.
Age 12 onwards:-After
the age of twelve you can start to introduce Transformation Essences, Chakra
Combinations and Planetary Essences, however reduce
the dose to 4 drops 1 x 2 a day.
NB:- We do not recommend that you give Karmic Essences to children
under 14 years old orLight Body
Essencesto children under 16 years old.
NB:- Using essences is not a substitute for medical attention
- if your child is ill consult a medical practitioner.

'My twelve year old son was in a state of anxiety whilst settling into a new school. He was tearful, couldn't sleep and needed constant verbal reassurence. I phoned Nikki as I needed more support and advice and had used her myself in the past. After I explained the situation she made a Bach Flower remedy blend for him and the result was phenomenal and immediate. His anxiety was much much less, he felt able to cope and after two days went off happily to school. She didn't even need to meet him in person. It really was remarkable.' C.M. Choose up to 5 remedies for a child 7 years old or
younger. Read the indications for each remedy to see which
applies most closely to your child's current state of mind.
The description doesn't have to be a perfect match - one trait's
enough to be worth adding to your blend. You can choose more
than one from each category. You can't go wrong, if you choose
a remedy you don't need, it just passes through. Bach Flowers
are safe and don't affect any medication your child may be
on.
Confused or Overwhelmed
Elm
Helpful for children who need to be 'good'. They are easily
discouraged by disapproval. They need to get good marks for
homework and care about getting good reports. They respond
well to approval and positive comments. When feeling overwhelmed
and anxious they will tend to get sick but make restless,
unhappy patients, worrying about what they can't do because
they're in bed.
Oak
For the child that takes life too seriously. They take on
a lot of responsibility and feel they must always be reliable
and follow through. They will become very upset if they feel
they have let someone down. They find it hard to accept help.
White Chestnut For the child who has an over-busy mind
and can't switch off. Maybe they spend too much time studying
or playing computer games - anything which stimulates the
mind but not the body. It can be hard to go off to sleep.
This helps them switch off and calms the mind. It helps concentration
and stuttering.
Hornbeam For the child who feels jaded, bored and 'flat'
- everything is the same old routine. It's hard to get going
in the morning. They feel tired and anxious that they won't
have enough energy to get everything done, although by the
end of the day they have actually got through it all. Taking
Hornbeam refreshes their mind, restoring zest and sparkle.
Wild Rose For the child who feels nothing they do will
make any difference so why bother. They have very low energy
and are chronically bored. Everything feels a lot of pointless
effort. They feel they have no power to change things. Taking
Wild Rose will restore initiative and vitality. Enthusiasm
will flood back and life will feel exciting and interesting
again.
Gorse For chronic situations or conditions. The child
has lost any hope of change. They feel tired inside. They've
come to terms with a chronic illness or situation and no longer
dare hope for improvement. They may try things to alter the
situation but don't really believe it will make any difference.
Gorse restores their confidence in a positive outcome. It
fills them with hope of a new beginning and helps them see
that it's never too late to change.
Olive For when your child is exhausted. Taking Olive renews
their energy even when they have to make great demands upon
it. It helps them pace themselves and draw on an inner strength.
Sweet Chestnut For the child who feels deep despair. Taking
Sweet Chestnut allows them to surrender - to 'let go and let
God'. It supports deep transformation in moments of tremendous
personal crisis.
Clematis For the child who daydreams excessively; numbing
out pain and reality with romanticised ideas of a happier
future or lost in memories. They may knock into things as
they're not grounded in their physical body and are indifferent
to its fate. They love to retreat into sleep and can faint
easily or feel light-headed. Clematis allows them to be fully
present and grounded in reality. They're able to put their
visions into action and use their creativity to make their
dreams happen.
Mustard For when sudden gloom descends for no apparent
reason. One moment your child is fine, the next everything
looks negative and they can't shift their pessimistic outlook.
Taking Mustard brings joy; a feeling of being happily in the
flow of life, taking life's ups and downs serenely.
Holly For the child who is easily triggered to anger.
It's easier to be defensive and combative than to be disappointed
and hurt again. Taking Holly allows them to open their heart
and approach others with goodwill and compassion. They can
let go of envy, distrust and suspicion and allow themselves
to fully exchange love again. Excellent when there is sibling
rivalry.
Willow For the resentful child who feel that everyone
around them has power except them. They feel exploited by
others, a victim of their situation and there's nothing they
can do about it except hope that those around them will change
their behaviour. Willow helps them take responsibility for
their life and make constructive decisions. As they change
their response to life they create more positive situations.
Impatiens For the child who is easily irritated and doesn't
enjoy playing or studying closely with others, as they're
too slow, take too long to learn and get stuck in detail.
This child likes the big vision and gets a buzz from speed.
They're mentally tense. They feel constantly frustrated because
there isn't enough time. Taking Impatiens allows them to relax
and empathise with temperaments different to their own. They
feel less driven and can be patient and gentle with themselves
and others.
Beech This child judges the actions and feelings of those
around them. People's mannerisms annoy them. They set themselves
and others high standards and have a strong internal critic
for whom nothing they do or say is ever good enough. They
feel isolated from others. Taking Beech allows them to see
the gift of learning in any less-than-perfect situation. It
allows them to respect the strengths and weaknesses of personalities
different to their own. They're able to accept and give constructive
criticism. They're more accepting of themselves, just as they
are.
Crab Apple This child feels details are important and
can lose the bigger picture. They particularly dislike mess
and dirt. They have very high standards of cleanliness. Flaws
in their behaviour, body or environment can become the focus
of their thoughts until resolved. They're very sensitive.
Taking Crab Apple helps them accept themselves 'warts and
all' as a physical being. They gain a healthier perspective
and can see the learnings and growth in situations rather
than the imperfections.
Agrimony This child needs harmony and will not speak
up as it might rock the boat. They avoid acknowledging their
real needs, particularly emotional ones, by watching TV, playing
computer games or anything that distracts them. They have
a strong need to present a cheerful front to others. They
frequently feel restless and need distraction from their internal
worry. Everything is always 'fine' no matter how concerned
they really feel inside. Their feelings are often expressed
as physical complaints, since this is frequently their only
outlet. Taking Agrimony allows them to confront situations
honestly and openly so that they can grow and mature. They're
able to feel genuine optimism and inner peace. They can acknowledge
and express their feelings with ease.
Vervain They strive constantly, yet the results often
don't reflect the effort they put in. Often considered hyperactive,
they amaze people with their energy and enthusiasm but they
can't pace themselves and eventually they burn out and crash
onto the sofa or into bed, feeling they can't do another thing.
They need to convince others of the right way to live and
whenthey find a new passion they share it enthusiastically.
They hate injustice and are inclined to risk and sacrifice
too much to reach their goals. Taking Vervain allows them
to use an appropriate amount of energy for each task. They
can allow others their own point of view and respect their
own path in life. They can inspire and motivate others effortlessly.
Rock Water This child is determined to be a good role
model to others in the hope they will follow their example.
They rarely relax and will tend to sacrifice their time and
effort to a higher ideal of how to live. They're very hard
on themselves and follow the rules they set themselves with
great discipline. Taking Rock Water allows them to open their
mind to new truths and ideas. They're able to have some fun.
They can balance their physical and spiritual needs appropriately.
Chicory This child loves to be surrounded by those they
care for and may tend to fuss over them. They make themselves
indispensable, always ready to give advice and help. They
build intense relationships and can feel unappreciated when theyve
given unsolicited help. It's only when they don't get the
response or appreciation they'd hoped for that you may see
that their efforts spring from a need to be loved or appreciated.
This kind of giving can create relationships driven by guilt
and resentment because real needs are not being clearly identified.
Taking Chicory allows them deal with their own emotional needs
honestly and directly. They're able to give generously to
others whilst genuinely expecting nothing back. They keep
healthy boundaries with others, allowing them to walk their
own path. They fulfil their own needs and give from a sense
of abundance.
Heather This child has little sense of their own identity
and needs to be with others. Being alone is frightening and
being abandoned is their greatest fear. They need reassurance
and can talk quite a lot about their problems to the point
where it's hard for them to hear others. Sometimes you can
think they have hearing problems but it's just hard for them
to pay attention to what others are saying. They can be rather
dramatic about their emotional problems. They may try and
appear stronger and more competent than they really are. Taking
Heather allows them to feel safe, cared for by their Inner
Guidance. They're filled with trust that they'll be given
everything they need for their development. They can offer
empathy and comfort to others.
Holly
This child finds it hard to trust that there's enough love
to go round. They feel possessive of those they love. Taking
Holly allows them to open their heart and approach others
with goodwill and compassion. They can feel the limitlessness
of love and know there's enough for us all.
Red Chestnut This child worries a great deal about others and may have separation anxiety.
Indeed this can be a useful remedy when a child is being weaned or during their first term at school. They may focus their worry on family, their friends, pets or disaster victims they
see on TV. They're easily made anxious by a missed phone call
or signs of a potential problem. They don't worry about themselves,
their attention is directed to others. They can be too emotionally
attached and project their worries and fears onto others.
Red Chestnut also helps if they're attached to a substance
in an addictive way, such as sugar or fizzy drinks. Red Chestnut
allows them to empathise with others without taking on their
concerns. They're able to throw them a rope rather than climb
down into the pit with them. They can respect that others must
find their own way to resolve their problems and trust that
the outcome will be for their personal growth. They can demonstrate
their faith in others' ability to grow and learn from difficult
situations.
Vine This child thinks they know what's right for others
and gives much well-intentioned advice. It's hard for them
to hear other people's point of view. They like to have the
last word and dislike having to bow to authority. They are
likely to struggle with a teacher's authority and to be leaders
of whatever group they're in. They like to be the 'saviour'
of a situation and can be relied on to keep their head in
emergencies, when their gift for leadership is most apparent.
Taking Vine enables them to value and respect the rights of
others and pay attention to their needs. They'll understand
how to empower others to help themselves. Their natural authority
and ambition is used with wisdom for the good of all.
Vervain This child needs their world to be perfect and
will exhaust themselves in heroic efforts to be the best at
sports or to hand in the most widely-researched project. If
others don't respond to their attempts to convince them of
the right way to train, or to play a certain game or resolve
a maths problem, they feel frustrated. Taking Vervain allows
them to feel when enough is enough. They can allow others
their own point of view and respect their path in life. They
easily inspire and motivate others.
Rock Water This child has strict rules they have to live
by. When their behaviour goes outside their own moral code
they punish themselves. They have a strong sense of right
and wrong. Taking Rock Water allows them to open their mind
to new truths and ideas. They can have some fun and relax.
They can be spontaneous and open.
Sweet Chestnut This child needs to surrender. They need
to let go of a relationship or situation that is no longer
right for them and take a leap into the unknown. They'd like
to give up control and have faith but they feel desperately
alone and frightened. Taking Sweet Chestnut will allow them
to surrender - to 'let go and let God'
Cherry Plum This child feels at breaking point and has
a great fear of losing control. They often clench their teeth
or grind them at night. They feel on edge, about
to snap. They suppress their feelings because they're afraid
of them. They may have symptoms of congestion such as a runny
nose or constipation. This remedy is helpful just before making
important decisions such as changing schools, as many strong
and conflicting emotions try to surface. Taking Cherry Plum
allows them to deal with their feelings and express them in
a calm and appropriate way. It lends them courage and deep
spiritual strength in difficult situations. They're able to
investigate their feelings and integrate the insights they
find to help them move forward.
Chestnut Bud For the child who keeps repeating the same
patterns. You know they've been here before. The characters
may have different names but the scenario and the dynamics
are the same. The child is often not present, always two steps
ahead in their mind and not interested in the current situation.
They're keen to move to the next thing rather than take time
to digest and evaluate their experiences. They can seem careless
or naive to others. They tend to 'push buttons' rather than
stop and consult the manual. Taking Chestnut Bud allows them
to give themselves the time and peace to learn. They're able
to observe their behaviour patterns and reactions in daily
life and learn from them. They can comprehend complex situations
more quickly and spot possible flaws at an early stage. Migraine
and acne can indicate a need for this remedy.
Gorse Despair. For the child who has lost hope. Their
situation feels beyond help. They may try things to alter
the situation but they don't really think it will make any
difference. Gorse restores their confidence and optimism.
It fills them with hope of a new beginning and helps them
see that it's never too late for things to change.
Walnut Good for a child when they are frequently distracted
from their own purpose by other people's agendas. They're trying to integrate
a change into their life - a new sibling, a
change in their parents' relationship, a house move or a new school. They feel over-sensitive to outside influences.
They need to break the spell of an old relationship or release
the influence of someone over them. Taking Walnut helps them make
the last step to change. It allows them to be true to themselves
and move forward with confidence. It opens them to their inner
inspiration, releasing them from outer influences.
Sweet Chestnut This child is clinging on for dear life
to what they know. They need to make a big shift but feel
completely unsupported with it. Taking Sweet Chestnut will
allow them to surrender - to 'let go and let God'. It allows
for deep transformation in moments of tremendous personal
crisis.
Scleranthus This child is full of inner conflict. They
feel pulled this way then that. Their mind is made up - then
it changes again. They keep this inner state to themselves
so that on the outside they can appear to have mood swings.
They can jump from topic to topic in conversation because
they lack focus and can respond nervously to outside impulses.
Physical symptoms are also erratic with pain moving from place
to place in the body, extremes of appetite, energy levels
and temperature and problems with balance and motion sickness.
Taking Scleranthus helps them focus and concentrate. They're
able to make decisions easily and quickly. They become more
flexible and are able to integrate many different interests
into their life.
Wild Oat This child is good at many things but find it
hard to settle and commit to any one course of action. They
have no real sense of purpose so feel blown by the wind from
one school subject to another and one relationship to another,
unable to commit. They frequently feel bored, frustrated and
dissatisfied. They tend to get involved in too many things
and spread themselves too thin. When this child takes Wild
Oat they feel their calling and can commit to a vision for
their life which they can follow.
Cerato This child doesn't have much faith in their own
judgement. They seek external advice rather than trusting
their own intuition, so they can be easily led and influenced
by more forceful children. They ask lots of questions and
obtain as much information as they can but are unable to act
on it. They can be easily swayed by those who seem certain
of themselves. They tend to cover all bases to avoid mistakes.
When this child takes Cerato they are able to quickly form
their own opinion and to trust their inner guidance on any
matter. They can stand by their decisions and they're keen
to learn.
Revival Remedy Also called Rescue Remedy or Five
Flower Remedy in other ranges. This is a combination of Clematis,
Impatiens, Star of Bethlehem, Rock Rose and Cherry Plum. If
you choose Revival Remedy as one of the eight remedies
for your child's blend, it counts as one remedy, so you don't
need any of the five remedies it contains added separately.
i.e. if you choose Revival Remedy you don't also need
Impatiens. Your child needs Revival Remedy if they feel
shocked emotionally or physically. If they're anticipating
a stressful event such as an exam, surgery or their first
day at school. They may have panic attacks. They may work
in an academically pressured environment. Taking Revival Remedy reactivates the body's rebalancing mechanism, helping
them release shock and relax. It works within minutes. It's
good to take if your child feels they're in the run up
to a migraine, menstrual cramps, boils or indigestion.
You can apply it externally on bandages and compresses. Useful
also to apply to the lips or pulse points of someone who has
fainted. It's also
available as a cream with the addition of Crab Apple.
The cream is wonderful for bruises, sprains, scars, spots,
bedsores or any skin complaint.
Rock Rose Wonderful if your child has night terrors and
wakes up sweating in panic. If, when your child contemplates
a course of action it makes their heart beat fast and their
stomach churn. Their solar plexus is tense and they sometimes
feel like they've been punched in the stomach. Their mind
races and they can't think clearly; they have a sensitive
nervous system. Some children may not show it on the outside
but inside they're often in a state of inner alarm. Taking
Rock Rose enables them to regain their presence of mind. They
feel calm and can connect to their inner guidance. They will
feel full of courage and are able to do things which previously
filled them with alarm.
Aspen For the child who feels a nameless dread and sensitivity,
particularly to atmospheres. When people talk of psychic matters
this child gets goosebumps. They have nightmares and occasional
premonitions. They feel anxious and may have anxiety attacks.
Taking Aspen allows them to move forward with confidence and
without fear. They're able to use their sensitivity to gain
a deeper understanding of the metaphysical world.
Mimulus This child feels nervous and timid in certain
situations. They may put up a good front or they may be obviously
shy. Inside they feel frightened of some specific situation
or person but they don't talk about it. They feel anxious
about carrying out quite mundane daily activities and may
have phobias such as fear of the dark or spiders. The world
seems a difficult and dangerous place so they proceed over-cautiously,
sometimes procrastinating over decisions because of their
anxiety. They like to be left in peace, though it can be frightening
for them to be alone. When they face their fears they can
easily fall ill. Taking Mimulus allows them to face the world
with courage and composure. They feel equal to the challenges
of life and have compassion for others' fears and sensitivities.
Red Chestnut This child worries a great deal about others.
Their family, their friends, pets or disaster victims they
They can demonstrate
their faith in others' ability to grow and learn from difficult
situations.
Cherry Plum This child feels at breaking point and has
a great fear of losing control. They often clench their teeth
or grind them at night. They feel on edge all the time, about
to snap. They suppress their feelings because they're afraid
of them. They may have symptoms of congestion such as a runny
nose or constipation. This is a great remedy just before making
important decisions, such as what subjects to take at school
or whether to change schools, as many strong and conflicting
emotions surface at such a time. Taking Cherry Plum allows
them to deal with their feelings and express them in a calm
and appropriate way. It lends them courage and deep spiritual
strength in difficult situations. They are able to investigate
their feelings and integrate the insights they find to help
them move forward.
Star of Bethlehem The perfect remedy when your child has
suffered a shock, whether physical or emotional. Perhaps they've
had an argument with someone or hurt themselves physically
or emotionally. This child finds strong or intense emotional
states very hard to process. People's rudeness leaves them
outraged. Their reactions are slow, as though they're sedated
and they may suffer from water retention and bruise easily.
They often have a recurring nightmare. This is an excellent
remedy for psychosomatic symptoms related to shock. Taking
Star of Bethlehem allows a child to relate to people's feelings
with great sensitivity. It helps them deal appropriately with
their own feelings so that they can grow from them. They can
extend great comfort to others and feel comforted themselves.
Water Violet For the child who needs privacy and lots
of personal space. They value their independence very highly.
They enjoy time alone to reflect and contemplate and can appear
rather aloof and unapproachable to others. They often want
to withdraw from relationships or situations and don't like
other people becoming involved in their personal affairs.
They find emotional conflict exhausting and find it hard to
approach others, particularly in group situations. They can
feel tense and isolated. Taking Water Violet allows them to
feel connected to others, whilst still maintaining a comfortable
distance. They're able to reach out to others when necessary
whilst maintaining their independence.
Honeysuckle This child dwells in the past, thinking of
happier times with rose-tinted glasses; they like to talk
about happy events such as days out with the family with a
wistful air. They feel their happiest moments have passed
and the future is unlikely to be that good again. It's hard
for them to adapt to changing circumstances and new developments.
They want to determine their own destiny, rather than to relax
into life's flow. They have little interest in the wider world
and no expectations for the future. They still regret lost
opportunities or old relationships; perhaps still sad if they
lost touch with a schoolfriend. They tend to hoard objects
of sentimental value and have a poor memory of past events.
Taking Honeysuckle brings them present to now. They can see
how the past has a bearing on the present. They're able to
bring what's of real value from the past and create it anew
in your current life.
Larch This child feels others can do things better than
they can, so they don't try. They compare themselves with
those who shine and feel they couldn't match up. They assume
there are limitations to anything they want to do and can
always justify not starting something. They're actually very
capable but have conditioned themselves to avoid failure.
Illness can be used as a way of avoiding attempting something.
Their position in class doesn't match their abilities. Taking
Larch allows them to assess their personal strengths and weaknesses
objectively. It strengthens their self-belief so that they
can use their talents to the full. They're able to take opportunities
with reasonable expectations and contribute their real worth
to school and family.
Pine This child has low self worth and is easily guilt-tripped.
They accept the blame even when it isn't their fault and apologise
profusely even for being ill. They have a strong sense of
right and wrong and expect to be punished, often taking on
burdens and sacrificing themselves. They don't feel they really
deserve to be here. They judge themselves harshly and cut
themselves off from love. Taking Pine gives them one of the
greatest gifts we can have - self-acceptance. They accept
everyone deserves to be here, including themselves. They accept
themselves as worthy of love and are able to receve praise
and appreciation. They understand the limits of responsibility
and become clear where appropriate boundaries lie.
Centaury This child finds it hard to say no to others'
requests. They find it challenging to put down boundaries
and maintain them without feeling guilty. They give to the
point of exhaustion and can be unrealistic about their time
and resources so they often have no time left to look after
themselves. They anticipate others' needs and leap to meet
them, even to the point of denying their own. Taking Centaury
makes them aware of their own needs and helps them to say
'no' when they need to. They're able to be in groups whilst
staying true to their own goals and values.
Cerato For the child who has little confidence in their
inner wisdom and their ability to make decisions. They don't
have much faith in their own judgement. They seek external
advice rather than trusting their intuition. They ask lots
of questions and obtain as much information as they can but
are unable to act on it. They can be easily swayed by those
who seem certain of themselves. They tend to cover all bases
to avoid mistakes. When they take Cerato they're able to quickly
form their own opinion and trust their inner guidance on any
matter. They can stand by their decisions and they're keen
to learn.
Gentian For the child who can't trust the unfolding of
events. They feel every delay or setback is a reason to give
up or a sign not to continue.
Holly
This child feels guarded and suspicious when new people come
into their sphere. It's hard to trust that there's enough
love to go around. They question people's motives. Taking
Holly allows them to open their heart and approach others
with goodwill and compassion. They can let go of envy, distrust
and suspicion and allow themselves to fully exchange love
again.
Wild Oat For the child who feels disconnected from any
drive or purpose, drifting without direction. They frequently
feel bored, frustrated and dissatisfied. They tend to get
involved in too many things and spread themselves too thin.
When they take Wild Oat they feel their soul calling and are
able to commit to the right direction for them.
Gentian This child feels disappointed at any setback to
their plans. When they don't get the outcome they want, they
assume this is a sign that the Universe isn't supporting them
and they won't succeed. They're filled with doubt and need
reassurance. Taking Gentian allows them to see setbacks and
delays as learning steps and opportunities for review. They're
able to maintain a positive outlook and feel certain of finding
solutions. They're able to encourage others.
Mustard This child feels totally negative. Nothing can
lift their spirits and it's difficult to feel any loving connection.
Taking Mustard brings joy; a feeling of being happily in the
flow of life, taking life's ups and downs serenely.
White Chestnut For the child whose mind won't stop. Their
thoughts go round and round. It's hard to sleep and as soon
as they wake their mind sets off again. It's difficult to
prioritise or concentrate on one task. White Chestnut helps
their mind to quieten so they can think and express themselves
clearly. It helps concentration, meditation and stuttering.
They can more easily get in touch with your inner wisdom.
Gorse For when a child feels despairing. All hope is gone.
Gorse restores their confidence in a positive outcome. It
fills them with hope of a new beginning and helps them see
that it's never too late to change.
Sweet Chestnut For when a child feels abandoned by God.
They can't bear their situation any longer and feel totally
alone. They need to surrender but they fear this means the
end of the road and disaster awaits. Taking Sweet Chestnut
allows them to surrender - to 'let go and let God'. It facilitates
deep transformation in moments of tremendous personal crisis.
